NATIONAL SUMMARY
Lake-effect snow will impact many areas around the Great
Lakes tomorrow, leading to the first major snowfall of the
region for many. As much as 1 to 3 inches of snow can fall
along prone areas of the Great Lakes, with Maine also having
upwards of 3 to 6 inches as a storm exits to the north. At
the same time, wind gusts up to 30-35 mph will be possible
as these storms cross the region. Much of the rest of the
country will be largely dry as high pressure sits overhead,
bringing mostly sunny skies to much of the remainder of the
U.S. It will remain cold however, especially across the
Midwest, and temperatures can be as much as 5-10 degrees
Fahrenheit below the historical average for late November.
Cooler air will also be in place across the Southwest and
much of the South Central region.
