The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, May 2, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Tomorrow, a slow-moving area of low pressure will deliver
continued rounds of showers from New England across parts of
the Great Lakes region. Snow is also expected to fall from
western New York through the high terrain inn eastern West
Virginia as a separate area of accumulating snow tapers off
through the day in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Farther
south and west of there, high pressure will promote a
general tendency toward warmer and dry conditions from the
Southeast into the Plains. In the West, a developing warm
front may trigger afternoon thundershowers in spots from New
Mexico through the high terrain of Idaho. A separate storm
will drift southward off the California coast, bringing
widespread rain showers and high-elevation snow to the
state.
