The Nation's Weather for Saturday, January 29, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A blizzard will blitz coastal New England tomorrow. Heavy
snow will begin to taper off farther south along the
mid-Atlantic coast from New Jersey to North Carolina, but
strong winds could cause blowing and drifting snow,
especially from Virginia northward. Most of the rest of the
country is expected to be free of precipitation, although a
bit of snow may clip northern Minnesota and the eastern
portion of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. However, any
snow will be light and little to no accumulation is
expected. Unusually cold air will work its way all the way
to the Gulf Coast. Even Florida will not escape the chill.
Record lows will be possible in the Sunshine State
overnight, with a widespread frost and freeze potential and
the possibility for damage to citrus and berry crops.
