Arrests made in attempted burglary case

On the evening of Saturday, February 1, an attempted burglary took place at Guns & Roses Pawn Shop located at 65 North Louisville Street Ackerman Chief of Police Tim Cook stated that the perpetrators broke some windows and tried to cut a lock, and even attempted to cut some wires in the breaker box, but were unable to gain entry.

Ackerman Aldermen hold Public Hearing on Park Sale

The Ackerman Board of Aldermen held a public hearing on Tuesday, February 4 prior to their regular board meeting, concerning the sale of Tom Glasgow Park to the Choctaw County School District.

The school district has made an offer of $475K for the property and will gift the location of the current football facility to the town.

Supervisors, Engineer discuss county bridges
