John Thomas Frank and the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Bulldogs won the NJCAA Region 23 Championship on April 22.
The top eight junior college teams in the state competed.
They were Jones, Meridian, ICC, Northwest, East Central, Co-Lin and MGCCC. Gulf Coast beat the reigning champion, Jones College, 5-2 on its home court in Ellisville.
Frank is a freshman for the Bulldogs and a former Eupora Eagle.
