Christmas will be here before you know it, so we started off the season with "The Biggest Most Beautiful Christmas Tree" at the Maben Public Library on Friday.
Several animal families lived in a big tree in the forest. Mr. and Mrs. Fieldmouse, Gray Acorn and the Chipmunk family, Mom, Dad, Little Nina and Nutley.
Life in the big fir tree was happy until Christmas came; they were sad. They made cookies for Santa and hung their stockings but Santa never came.
Then one year Aunt Mim came with a big sack of beautiful decorations. She had ribbon, balloons, pinecones and bows. They all had fun decorating the tree and when Dad placed the gold star at the top of the tree, it glowed in the moonlight. The tree was truly the biggest most beautiful tree in the forest.
The children went to bed early in anticipation of Christmas morning. When they awoke the next day, they saw that Santa had found them at last. Their stockings were bulging with goodies and toys were all over. They had a party with special Christmas cookies and tea.
Thanks to wise Aunt Mim, Santa would always find the biggest most beautiful tree in the world!
The children colored and decorated their own Christmas tree with stickers and played with Play-Doh brought by Kaylyn Davis
