The outcome of the town of Maben’s municipal general election did not change upon certification.
The official recapitulation of the June 3 election shows the top five vote-getters for alderman remained the same as reported in the June 6 issue after all ballots were counted, including absentees.
Those five winners, and their official vote totals, were incumbent Darrell Bryant (131), Ian Miles (116), Eric Johnson (109), incumbent Marlene Thomas (106) and incumbent Sedrick Taylor (104).
Incumbent Renee Herd-Vance failed in her reelection bid, coming in sixth place with 102 votes, and Alderman Pat Harpole did not run again. Nine candidates total ran for seats on the Maben Board of Aldermen.
Lee Shuffield won the open race for mayor, with the official results showing he received 164 votes to Dorothy Ross’ 29. Shuffield will succeed Larry Pruitt, who did not run for another term.
