On Dec. 22, just three days before Christmas Day, the Maben Methodist group made its regular visit to Diversicare of Eupora.
A beautifully decorated Christmas tree was in the front room to greet visitors who came in.
After visiting with many of the residents — many of whom were once living in Maben, Clarkson, Eupora, Mathiston and other places, and that the group has met — the group sang Christmas songs, with many of the residents joining in.
A short devotion followed and then more singing.
Before leaving, Oneta Bluitt, who once lived in the Maben area and still has relatives in the area, asked if she could sing us a solo, which was the second time for her.
Miss Oneta sang “Amazing Grace,” which everyone enjoyed.
The Maben Methodist group looks forward to its January visit.
