In a regular meeting held on Tuesday, July 20, presided over by Mayor Pro-Tem Eugene Crosby, the Louisville Board of Aldermen dealt with several routine matters which were all passed unanimously. The issues dealt with included:
•Authorization of a monthly cell phone allowance for City Clerk Wanda Hudson.
•Approval of payment to Calco Contracting, in the amount of $1.6K, for the Cagle Street Railroad Crossing striping.
•Approval of SB 2971 State General Obligation Bond funds for $300K, to be used for the South Industrial Road project, which included:
•Adoption of a resolution declaring the necessity for the issuance of the State General Obligation bonds.
•Authorization for the Mayor to sign all documents pertaining to GO Bonds.
•Hiring of Preston Foster to the Street Department, effective date July 29, 2021, at a pay rate of $15/hour.
•Authorization of transactions to transfer inactive funds:
•Transfer of a $19K negative balance on WCM II Repayment Clearing Account to Accounts Payable by Journal Entry.
•Cutting a check to transfer GO Bond Construction Fund of $2.4K, to GO Bond Fund/Debt Service Fund.
