Millsaps College Softball had Alumni Weekend Saturday, March 25.
During Alumni Weekend, members of both the 2003 and 2013 Millsaps College softball teams returned to campus and were recognized for their conference championship seasons.
Senior Delta Claire Newman was also bestowed the Molly Tyner Boland Award for altruism on and off the field.
Each year a member of the Millsaps College softball team is honored with the Molly Tyner Boland Memorial Award.
Started in 2017 in memory of Molly Tyner Boland (’14), a former Millsaps College standout softball player, daughter, teammate, wife, coach, friend and mentor, this award provides recognition and honor to the most outstanding returning student athlete that exemplifies the altruistic spirit on and off the field that Molly exhibited in her life.
