The Noxapater Lady Tigers took a pair of blowout wins last week.
The Lady Tigers beat Louisville 18-2 and Leake Central 20-3 to improve to 4-1 on the season.
Noxapater was scheduled to start district play with French Camp this week in a two-game series. They will play at French Camp on Tuesday and then host the Lady Panthers on Thursday. They will play Leake Central on Saturday at 11:45 a.m. and then play Riverside at 1:15 p.m.
Noxapater 18, Louisville 2
The Lady Tigers used a 12-run third inning to take a three-inning, run-rule win over the Lady Tigers.
Noxapater scored one in the first, five in the second and finished with 12 in the third. Louisville scored its two in the third.
Noxapater had nine hits, drew seven walks and had five hit batters. Karlee Sullivan was 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBIs while Ayla Ryals was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored. Jodie Wilkes tripled, scored four runs, walked twice and had two RBIs. Kenzie Harrell singled, scored two runs and had three RBIs. Aliyah McCool tripled and scored two runs while Saniya Holmes singled, walked twice and scored two runs. Morgan Woods also singled, walked twice and scored two runs.
Woods started in the circle and pitched two scoreless innings, striking out four to pick up the win. Wilkes pitched the third inning, giving up two runs on one hit and one walk.
Noxapater 20, Leake Central 3
The Lady Tigers took advantage of 19 walks and four hit batters and took a three-inning, run-rule win over the Lady Gators on Tuesday.
Noxapater scored three in the first, six in the second and finished with 11 in the third. Leake scored its three runs in the third.
Jodie Wilkes doubled, walked three times and scored four runs while Morgan Woods doubled, walked twice and scored four times. Corabella Papalambros had Noxapater’s other hit with a single. Kaliyah Moore walked three times and had two RBIs while Aliyah McCool walked twice, scored four runs and had two RBIs.
Woods started in the circle and pitched two innings, giving up just one walk while striking out five. Aliyah McCool pitched one inning and gave up three runs on four walks while striking out one.
