There’s some things that can be said about the Lady Charger Volleyball team, they are relentless, tenacious, and can bounce back. In a two-week span, the Lady Chargers are now 4-2 and are third in the district behind East Webster.
Choctaw vs. Louisville, 3-0
In their second game of the season, the Chargers bounced back with a sweep against the Lady Wildcats in Louisville. In a three-game sweep, the Lady Chargers put up 25 points each, going on a clean sweep.
Choctaw vs. Water Valley, 3-1
In a game four decision, the Chargers came away with a 3-1 win over Water Valley. The Lady Blue Devils attempted to fight back to force a game four but were unsuccessful in their effort. In games one and two, the Chargers put up 25 in each game against Water Valley. However, in game 3, the Chargers put up 18 points to Water Valley’s 25. But, in game four, the Chargers battled back and came back stronger and put up another 25 against Water Valley.
Choctaw vs. Winston Academy, 2-3
After a four-year streak, the Winston Academy Patriots defeated the Chargers in a game five decision. The game was a back and forth with both teams beginning strong, but it was the Patriots that pulled it out in the end. In game one, the Chargers took the set 23-18, but Patriots came back to take the second set by five with a score of 25-20. In the third set, the Lady Chargers fought back to take the set 25-23. In the fourth set, the Lady Patriots fought back and forced a game five with a set of 25-22 and put the nail in the coffin of the Lady Chargers of 15-10.
Choctaw vs. Starkville 3-0
Not one to wallow in defeat, the Lady Chargers came back swinging in the game against the Lady Yellow Jackets. Coming off the loss to the Patriots, the Lady Chargers bounced back again and defeated the Starkville Lady Yellow Jackets in a clean sweep.
Choctaw vs. Louisville, 3-0
The Chargers kept their momentum going and defeated the Lady Wildcats in yet another sweep. In another matchup against the Lady Wildcats, the Lady Chargers dominated again, taking a clean sweep in the Chargers, tallying 25-15, 25-15, 25-9.
