After having their state meet moved to Tuesday, May 7, Choctaw County High School track girls and boys team still put out a great showing at state.
Hunter Holland brought back an individual State Championship to Choctaw County in the shot put. Holland threw 47.08, Jordyn Ashford placed fourth throwing 44.02.
Holland also placed fifth in the discus, with a throw of 127.
In the girls’ heats, Fannie Miller came in sixth in the 100 meter dash, but Miller took fourth in the 200 meter dash. Za’Naiya Woodard placed fifth in the 300 hurdles. And the girls 4 x 2 relay placed fourth and placed fifth in the 4 x4 relay.
Kami Beard placed third in the high jump and Aloria DeGroot placed fourth in the long jump.
Hailey Mullins placed fifth in the pole vault, A’lisa King placed sixth in the shot put and Jaqueria Esters placed eighth.
