The Grace Christian Eagles took a pair of losses over the last two weeks on the diamond. After Spring Break, the Eagles are scheduled to take on McAdams on Monday, before going to Starkville Christian on Friday. The Eagles faced off against Russell Christian in a game that was called early due to weather.
At the time it was called, Russell was leading 7-0. Miles Brownlee was on the mound for the eagles and threw four strikeouts through three innings. Brownlee also led the Eagles at the plate going 2-2 and stealing three bases.
The Eagles then took a 15-3 loss to Hebron Christian.
Austin Pauls started the game on the mound, before Jack May came in and pitched well in relief. Cade Gregory, Flint Moody, Max Peterson, and Zac Bright each had a hit for the Eagles in the loss. Head Coach Kasey Chandler said the Eagles are headed in the right direction.
“We are progressing a little each game,” he said, “We just have to cut out the errors.” Chandler adds that the Eagles were just a few plays away from making both games completely different. The Eagles will continue to work hard to improve as the season continues.
