It was a tough week against really good competition for the Eupora Eagles as the baseball team dropped a couple of game at Corinth.
After losing to Ripley last Tuesday, Eupora would fall to Tennessee team Lausanne, 11-1. Eupora had four errors and Lausanne had four runs in the first innings and five in the fourth to run away with the win. The Eagles had just four hits in the loss.
Jacob Crimm had a double for the only multi-base hit with his double. Jacob Rollins started the ball game and went 3.1 innings, gave up six hits, 10 runs, five earned runs, five walks and four strikeouts.
The Eagles (3-10, 1-1 Class 2A, Region 4) was back in action this week taking on Kosciusko on Tuesday night and Nanih Waiya on Thursday. Eupora will be on the road at Louisville on Saturday at Noon before getting back into district play by taking on Sebastopol on the road next Tuesday and at home on Thursday. Both games will be at 7 p.m.
