The Grace Christian basketball teams closed out their regular seasons this week and they are preparing for postseason play. The Lady Eagles are still awaiting their seeding however they are a top two seed in the conference. If they clinch the top seed, they will host the tournament. The Eagles currently sit at third. Their tournament will be held at Heritage Christian in Holly Springs. Both tournaments will be held next week. Head Coach Bryan Nixon said he likes how his team has played as of late and is confident heading into the postseason.
Eagles: The Eagles began their week with a 57-39 win over Hebron Christian. Miles Brownlee had a game high 22 points. Jack Butler scored 16, and Max Peterson added 10. Later in the week, the Eagles bounced back from their earlier loss to Unity Christian with a 63-40 win over them. Grayson Skelton scored 31. Miles Brownlee added 19. Head Coach Bryan Nixon said he likes how his team has played as of late and is confident heading into the postseason.
Lady Eagles: The Lady Eagles began their week with a 50-20 win over Hebron. Mia Brownlee scored 12 points and Anna Rose Eaves scored 11. Olivia Hogue had 11 boards. Later in the week, the Lady Eagles earned a 56-11 win over Tupelo Christian. Carolyn Hogue had a game high 21 points, while her sister Olivia scored 15 points. Mia Brownlee had eight rebounds. Head Coach Taylor Troyer said she is very proud of how her team is playing heading into the postseason.
