The Chargers and Lady Chargers were back in action as they began play with the Ethel Tigers on Saturday in Ethel. The Chargers walked away victorious defeating both teams. Then, on Tuesday, they were back at the Cobb as they battled it out with the Kosciusko Whippets. The Lady Chargers fell to the Lady Whippets 72 to and the Chargers defeated the Whippets.
Friday, the Chargers and Lady Chargers were back at home against the Vardaman Rams.
Lady Chargers, Lady Tigers
The Lady Chargers got out to a great start Saturday in Ira Jones Coliseum as they defeated the Lady Ethel Tigers. The Chargers led throughout the game and never let up off of their lead. The Lady Tigers fought hard, but the Chargers fast-paced offense and defense were too much for the Lady Tigers to handle.
Chargers 57, Tigers 37
The Ethel Tigers hung with the Chargers through the game, but it was the Chargers that prevailed. Calvin Roberts and Caleb Cunningham both lead the Chargers with 21 points each. Roberts had 10 rebounds, 1 steal and three blocks.Cunningham had five rebounds, two stealds and one block. Jakarius Weaver and Cole Hood both had four points, KJ Cork had three and Garrick “Buster” Alston had 2.
Lady Chargers 49, Lady Whippets 72
Tuesday, the Chargers and Lady Chargers were back in action at the Cobb against the Kosciusko Whippets. The Lady Chargers fell to the Lady Whippets 49-72. The Lady Chargers never quit fighting, but the faster-paced Lady Whippets dominated against the Chargers.

However, in the boys game it was a different story. It was the Chargers that dominated with Sophomore Caleb Cunningham slamming five dunks against the Whippets. Roberts had 21 points, 13 rebounds, one steal and one block against the Whippets and Cunningham had 18 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals. Hood had six, Treyvionne Woodard, Jalon James and Corkhad three and Vari Carter had one.
Lady Chargers 34, Lady Rams 28; Chargers 66, Rams 49
Friday the Chargers and Lady Chargers were back at the Cobb agains the Vardaman Rams and Lady Rams. The Lady Chargers defeated the Lady Rams and the Chargers defeated the Rams 66-49.
The Chargers also participated in a tournament in Guinn, Ala. on Saturday where they were defeated by the Meek High School Tigers 59-45 in the Grind2Shine Classic.
