On Monday, August 30th 2021, William Howard Chism of Eupora MS passed away at the age of 76. Howard was born in Kilmichael, MS on May 9,1945.
He is preceded in death by his father A.B. Chism, his mother Dorie Mae Whitefide Chism, his sister Glynda Carol Chism, his granddaughter Marlie Marie Roberson and a son-n-law Kevin Daniel Bright.
He attended Eupora and Mathiston High School and Holmes Community College along with William Carry College. He was a truck driver for sixteen years, and then worked as a shipping and receiving supervisor and a stockroom supervisor at W.W. Sly Inc. in Mathiston MS until his retirement in 2014.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Clara Chism, a sister Ruth McCulloch Odom of Eupora. 3 daughters, Lisa Reed (Phillip) of Maben, Amanda Bright of Eupora, Lesley White (Sammy) of Clarkson, and 1 son, Brad Chism (Brittnie) of Maben, 5 grandchildren, Dyllan Reed (Brailey) of Mathiston, Anna Clair Palmer (Dalton) of Mathiston, Jalie Gauntt (Patrick) of Crawford, Jayden Roberson of Clarkson Ms, Clay Chism of Maben, and 2 great grandchildren, LinLeigh Kate Reed of Mathiston and John Rowen Gauntt of Crawford, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was a faithful man of God and was a member of Midway Church of Christ in Maben where he served as a deacon for 25 years.
