Graveside services for Aubury Therrel Higgins, 76, were Sept. 22, 2021, at Mt. Airy Cemetery near Ackerman with the Revs. John Staszefski and Terry Wills officiating.
He was born June 17, 1945, in Weir to the late Horace and Odie Mae Wills Higgins. His occupation was farming and truck driving. Mr. Higgins was a member of New Zion Baptist Church near Weir. He died Sept. 19, 2021, at his residence in Weir.
Survivors include a brother, Thomas Higgins of Weir; and a niece and nephew

Janice Wells Hollingsworth

Services for Janice Wells Hollingsworth, 71, of Eupora were Sept. 28, 2021, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Decatur with burial in the church cemetery.
She born June 24, 1950, in Choctaw County to the late Calton O. and Etoy Dean Wells. Her final place of employment was with Winston Medical Clinic in Louisville. Mrs. Hollingsworth was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She died Sept. 25, 2021, at Choctaw County Regional Medical Center, in Ackerman.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Hollingsworth of Eupora; a daughter, Susan Wells of Ackerman; a son, Randy Hollingsworth of Eupora; two sisters, Brenda Pearson of Eupora and Ann Coleman of Ackerman; Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Salem Methodist Cemetery near Chester.

Graveside services for Willie Maxwell Jr., 65, of Eupora were Sept. 25, 2021, at Enon Cemetery in Ackerman.
He died Sept. 20, 2021, in Columbus. Visitation was one hour prior to the service.
Montgomery Mortuary of House was in charge of arrangements.
