Services for Polly Waits Garrison, 85, of Ashland were Sept. 2, 2021, at Ashland Baptist Church.
She was born April 21, 1936, in the Mt. Vernon community in Webster County to the late Ferney Wood and Alma Peeples Waits of Eupora. Mrs. Garrison was a member of Ashland Baptist Church. She died Aug. 27, 2021.
Survivors include four daughters, Angela Garrison Eckburg of Olive Branch, Sondra Garrison Crenshaw of Winona, Lydia Garrison Laster of Madison and Ramona Garrison Frye of The Woodlands, Texas; a brother, Wood Doris Waits of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister, Nancy Doolittle of Cadaretta; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter
Pallbearers were her grandchildren.
McBride Funeral Home of Ripley was in charge of arrangements.
Christina Hazlett McDaniel

Services for Christina Hazlett McDaniel, 53, were Sept. 7, 2021, at Blythe Creek Baptist Church in Mathiston.
She was born June 28, 1968, in Wauseon, Ohio, to Betty and the late Thomas Hazlett, and later lived in Kosciusko. Mrs. McDaniel spent her professional career working at various high schools, as well as Mississippi State and Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. She died after a yearlong battle of stage IV carcinosarcoma on Sept. 2, 2021, at her home in Chillicothe, Ill.
Survivors include her husband, Christopher McDaniel of Chillicothe; daughters Morgan and Megan McDaniel of Chillicothe; her mother Betty Hazlett of Tellico Plains, Tenn.; and brothers Josh and Dustin Hazlett of Kosciusko and Clinton.
Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman was in charge of arrangements.
