Services for Mearle Phillips Gammill, 84, are at 11 a.m. Oct. 20, 2021, at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman with burial in Fentress Cemetery.Visitation is Oct. 20 beginning at 10 a.m. until service time.
She was born Jan. 9, 1937, in Choctaw County to the late Leland J. and Icey Lena Moore Phillips. Mrs. Gammill was retired from Piggly Wiggly Grocery. where she worked as a deli cook, and was a member of Fentress Baptist Church near Ackerman. She died Oct. 16, 2021, at her residence near Weir.
Survivors include a daughter, Anita Crowe of Madison; a brother, Stanley Phillips of Weir; and two grandchildren.

Services for Audelia Oswalt Miller, 91, of Ackerman will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 21, 2021, at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman with burial in Mt. Airy Cemetery near Ackerman. Visitation will be Oct. 21 from 1 p.m. until service time.
She was born April 6, 1930, in Choctaw County to the late John Vernon and Lillian Hyde Oswalt. Mrs. Miller died Oct. 16, 2021, at Choctaw County Regional Medical Center in Ackerman.
Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Mt. Airy Cemetery.
