Mrs. Barbara Ann Peeples McCulloch, 81, homemaker, died August 12, 2021 at North MS Medical Center Long Term Care Unit in Eupora, MS. Funeral Services were held 3:00PM Monday August 16, 2021 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greensboro Cemetery in Webster County, MS. Bro. James Caffey, Dr. Cleamon Downs, and LaDonna Caffey officiated while Wendy Brewer provided the Music and Vocals. Pallbearers were; James Mitchell, Huelon Barnett, Eric and David McCulloch and Pat and Patrick Scott Cummings. Honorary Pallbearers were; Mrs. Barbara's care-givers at NMMC Eupora Long Term Care Unit.
She was a member of Tomnolen Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents; Jesse Riley and Pauline Bright Peeples and special friend; Gary Lott. Mrs. Barbara is survived by her daughter; Angela (Preston) McCulloch-Vegh, Frisco, TX, her son; James Rickey McCulloch, Eupora, MS, her grandson; Wesley (Lindsey) McCulloch, Nashville, TN, Carol McCulloch, Eupora, MS and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a great cook. She worked at Polly's Restaurant for many years then worked at Mitchell's Restaurant as a server, cook and as she would say "a jack of all trades." Of course the Mitchell brothers nick-named Mrs. Barbara, affectionately referring to her as "BAM", derived from her initials. Her nickname was still used, even by her caregivers.
