Joe Donald Philley, aged 70, passed away on October 13, 2021, at his daughter’s home in Stewart, Mississippi. He was the son of the late Joseph Rickman and Carmen Rawls Philley
Joe grew up on a dairy farm and later in life that became his life’s work. The company that he worked with was Cal-Maine Foods. He particularly enjoyed time that he spent with his grandchildren and family.
Joe is survived by two sons, Mark (Shelly) Philley of Erath, Louisiana and Jason (Jessica) Smith of Gainesville, Florida; two daughters, Patricia “Tish” (Phillip) Hardin of Stewart, Mississippi and Renee (Matthew) Smith Ware of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; five brothers, Dale (Mary) Philley of Amory, Mississippi, Roy (Laurie) Philley of Clinton, Mississippi, Ricky Philley, Doug (Elizabeth) Philley of Stewart, Mississippi, and Randy Philley of Laurel, Mississippi; three sisters, Terry (George) Hardin of Houston, Texas, Janice (John) Huffman of Eupora, Mississippi, and Elizabeth Ann Martin of Eupora, Mississippi; nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Rickman and Carmen Rawls Philley and a brother, Larry Philley.
A memorial visitation for Joe Donald Philley was Sunday, October 17, 2021, from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home. Wise Reed Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
