After the Louisville boys found their first basketball win of the season, the team fell short in a tough battle last week.
The Wildcats are just now getting to full strength with the end of football season bringing most of the contributors to the court. LHS won its first game of the season against Kemper County two weeks ago and just after Thanksgiving the Wildcats were back to work traveling to Okolona.
The Chieftains have a rich basketball tradition and they’re out to another strong start this season. Both teams battled but it was the homestanding Okolona team that came out on top in a hard-fought 57-53 ball game.
No further information has been given on the win. The girls team’s results were not posted last week for the second-straight week.
The Wildcats are 1-4 on the season while the Lady Wildcats are a reported 1-2. The two teams are back in action this week as they took on McAdams on the road on Tuesday and travel to Kemper County on Thursday. The boys squad is scheduled to play Newton on Saturday while the girls are scheduled to play Meridian.
