While Louisville is making its way through the Class 4A football playoffs with several future basketball players, coach Kylan Tippet is just trying to navigate the first few games of the season.
The Wildcats dropped the first game of the season a couple of weeks ago and had another loss last week to Columbus 77-48. Sophomore Ontarious Murry led the team with 10 points in the game and had four steals.
The Lady Wildcats had yet another tough loss against the Lady Falcons. Taking on one of the routine state title contenders in Columbus, LHS put up a fight but came up just short in a 54-52 loss. This a week after dropping a 61-56 decision to Canton.
Coach Mitchell McCurry was contacted for a report on the game but didn’t provide stats for further information. The two teams were slated to get back to action on Tuesday on the road at New Hope and they also have a scheduled game at home against Kemper County this Thursday beginning at 6 p.m. with the girls.
