This week the Grace Christian Lady Eagles opened their volleyball season with a win over cross-county opponent, Winston Academy. The Lady Eagles won the match with the scores of: 19-25,25-17,25-20,25-16. Macy Joy led serving with a perfect 100% serving percentage over 17 serves , including five aces. Shelby Morgan led hitting with a .500 hitting percentage, including a solo block and zero errors. Close behind Morgan was Carley Peterson who had a .394 hitting percentage and 17 kills. The Lady Eagles defense was led by Marleigh Peterson, who had 12 digs and 13 serve receptions, only making two errors. The Lady Eagles were scheduled to face Nanih Waiya this week but the game was canceled. Later this week on Thursday, the Lady Eagles will travel across the county to Noxapater, and will travel to Cottondale, Alabama this weekend for a tournament at Tuscaloosa Christian School.
