WoodmenLife® is now a Leadership Partner with Feeding America®, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization. This alignment of like-minded, national organizations means big things in this region. WoodmenLife and its members have been committed to fighting food insecurity for many years, cementing that dedication in 2015, when fighting hunger became their National Community Focus. Now that work together is expanding, following the success of a campaign using WoodmenLife Impact®, the organization’s online fundraising tool, which delivered $1.076 million to Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund. WoodmenLife worked with Feeding America to direct these funds to specific areas of need and specific food banks, including the Mid-South Food Bank, which received $31,725. It serves Northern Mississippi, southwest Tennessee and one county in Arkansas. Countless members and groups in this area rallied around the WoodmenLife Impact campaign, and now they can see the benefits of their generosity close to home. This is an extension of other work WoodmenLife has done to fight hunger locally — collecting 63,053 pounds of food and $69,127 for food banks in Mississippi since 2015.
