The Town of French Camp swore in two new aldermen on January 4, 2021. French Camp Mayor Glen Barlow and the Board welcomed Bo Kirby and Adam Blaylock to the Town of French Camp Board of Aldermen.
“We are looking forward to having both men join the team as Town of French Camp Alderpersons,” said Barlow.
“I’m excited about serving our community and look forward to working with the mayor and other aldermen,” said Bo Kirby. “I take great pride in our French Camp history and look forward to building on the improvements we’ve made along Main Street last couple of years,” he continued.
Adam Blaylock is excited to be a part of the Town of French Camp’s future.
“I want to thank the people of French Camp for the opportunity to serve this community. As a resident and business owner in French Camp, I feel that it is important to preserve the qualities that make this town so unique and special. At the same time I would like to see French Camp be one of the premier destinations along the Natchez Trace Parkway. Our town has so much to offer and I am very excited to have the opportunity to play a small part in its future,” said Blaylock.
Kirby and Blaylock were the only two people to qualify for the two vacancies on the board. The qualifying period ended December 23, 2020.
The vacancies came after Aldermen Phil Nicholson passed away on November 29th and Aldermen Dennis Cates resigned on December 7th.
Kirby and Blaylock will fill their unexpired terms, which ends in June 2021.
