Mike Summers BSRT (R) (CT), CNMT, RVS, RCS, 340B ACE has been named Administrative Executive Director at Choctaw Regional Medical Center. In addition to his current responsibilities as overseer of Radiology, Outpatient Specialty Clinic, and the 340B program, Mike will work with Pharmacy, Laboratory and Respiratory to streamline and enhance ancillary services provided by the hospital and clinics. When asked what he hopes to accomplish in his new role, Mike stated, “My goal is to assist residents of Choctaw County and surrounding areas by providing access to uniquely personal and high quality healthcare right here at home.” Mike is a proud Choctaw County resident who joined the CRMC family in February 2017. He attended Terry High School and received his Bachelor of Health Sciences from UMMC. Upon graduation, he worked for 12 years with Montfort Jones Hospital (now Baptist-Attala) in Kosciusko. Mike, a Registered Radiologic Technologist, specialized in computed tomography, nuclear medicine, and cardiovascular ultrasound. He is also a 340B Apexus Certified Expert. He has been married to his wonderful wife, Maegan, for 14 years and they have 3 children: James (12), John (9) and Joanna (7). They are active members of Mathiston First Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, writing, gardening, hunting and fishing. He loves spending time with his family and is a self-described Christian theology enthusiast who enjoys studying the Holy Scriptures and church history. His favorite poem, made popular by Christian missionary, Elisabeth Elliot, is “Fear not tomorrows, child of the King. Trust them with Jesus—do the next thing. Stayed on Omnipotence, safe ‘neath His wing. Leave all results—do the next thing.” Steve Marinelli, Choctaw Regional Medical Center’s CEO, said of Mike’s promotion, “Mike has been a great addition to our leadership team and is more than deserving of this promotion. Mike will be given total support in making him successful in this new role.” Mike’s personal motto is “Keep moving forward” and his new position allows him to apply that motto to the future of CRMC, as well. “Congratulations, Mike.”
