Adams filled his regular appointment here Sunday, delivering an interesting sermon. - Mrs. Pellum spent Sunday with her sister, Mrs. Bettie Azwell. - Dan Southerland and wife spent Sunday with Mrs. Ayers. - Misses Belle and Ola Lewis and Miss Lillian Pellum dined with Mrs. Lou Williams Sunday. - Bell Cotton and Miss Jennie McMinn made a flying visit to Bradley Sunday. - The young people of this place enjoyed a singing in the home of John Phelps Sunday afternoon. - The measles seems to be raging in this neighborhood. - Jack Azwell made a business trip to Maben Saturday. - Harry O’Bannon was mingling with friends at Self Creek on Sunday. - Miss Mamie Lee Herris of Adaton attended church here Sunday. - Don’t forget to come to the memorial today and bring a full basket. B. Hannah left Monday for Mobile to attend the Reunion. - Miss Ilah Woodson spent Sunday at home. - Rand Shropshire and sister, Mrs. Jennie Dobbs, are visiting their mother. - The snow storm Monday filled us with awe, as we had never anything like it at this season of the year. The snow flakes upon the green foliage and bright flowers was indeed a beautiful sight. COPPER SPRINGS ITEMS [By Ruralite]: The largest hail we have had for years fell here Friday night. - The tail end of the blizzard got here on time, bringing with it a snow to the depth of two inches. Cotton is ruined, but wheat and oats are looking fine as can be. UNVEILING AT CUMBERLAND: The unveiling of the monument to Arthur Griffin will take place at old Cumberland on Sunday morning, May the 1st, and every body – especially Woodmen – has a cordial invitation to be present.
