Martin and wife of Winona passed through our town Monday. - Mrs. J. B. Atkins of Ruleville visited friends and relatives here this week. - Quite a number of our people attended the debate at Sherwood on Saturday night. Miss Stella Sorrell of Eupora visited Mrs. Lou Lamb the first part of this week. - Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Easterwood of Maben spent Friday in home of Mr. and Mrs. George Fowler. - Misses Hattye McCain and Maude Harvey, who have been teaching in the public schools of Webster, are back at home to friends, their schools having closed. - J. M. Shaw of near Mt. Pisgah made us a pleasant call this week. - Will Crow of Oklahoma visited his sister, Mrs. J. L. Akins, little son J. H. and daughter Lois of Ruleville are visiting the former’s mother, Mrs. C. E. Brock, this week. A QUIET HOME WEDDING: Eufala Cobb of Greenwood and Miss Minnie Allen were quietly married Wednesday afternoon in the home of the bride’s father, W. E. Allen. Both of the contracting parties have a number of friends here who gladly join us in extending hearty congratulations and good wishes. REVIVAL MEETING: W. T. Brooks, evangelist, and Mr. Lewis, singer and personal worker, will begin a meeting at the Christian church in West Point Saturday night, April 30.
