The wedding affair was witnessed by a large number of friends and relatives. The ceremony that united this happy couple was performed by Rev. J. L. Phelps of Eupora. Both bride and groom are well known here and in Eupora and enjoy the friendship of many. LOCAL MENTION [Chas. F. Brock, Local Editor]: W. R. C. McKee made a business trip to Eupora on Monday. - Luther Hemphill of Eupora was in town on business Monday. - O. C. Leigh, cashier of the Bank of Eupora, was in our city Tuesday. - Quite a number of our people made a pleasure trip to Eupora on Sunday. - Mrs. Lula Curry and daughter, Miss Myrtle, were pleasant callers Tuesday. The new furniture store of Scott & Oliver is now open and ready for business. - Ed Narmour, a prosperous merchant of Fellowship, was on our streets Wednesday. - Our old friend Allen Brooks, of Blythe Creek, was in our town prospecting Wednesday. - Those of our people who attended Field Day at Pontotoc last Friday report a very pleasant time. - More residences for Mathiston. You can’t keep her from growing. - Miss Dollie Connell of Mayhew is visiting friends here this week. - M. Brooks, a progressive merchant of Blythe Creek, was in our town Tuesday. H. M. Griffin. - The people of Mathiston were very proud of the exhibition the Baraca Class of Winona gave us Sunday. - W. C. Miller and son Russie and daughters Misses Bell and Mamie, and granddaughter Claudie Tullis were among the Tuesday callers. Mr. Miller is one of Choctaw’s best citizens and farmers. - The Mathison High School Debating Society go to Sherwood Saturday for a joint debate. – Ernest Nolen, a prominent merchant of Tomnolen, was in town Tuesday.
