J. A. White, the grandfather of the child, left with her immediately for New Orleans for treatment. As soon as the dog was overtaken and killed Ed McCarter left for New Orleans with the dog’s head. - `Miss Dovia Slaughter left for Blue Mountain last Saturday to resume her school work. - Mr. Temple of Winona was shaking hands with our merchants Tuesday. - Prof. David Savage was a Sunday evening caller in Dancy, Than’t tell where. - We are sorry to say that Modena Dalton is still very sick. - Bunyan Lollar and Prentiss Pass were attracted toward Old Cumberland Sunday. Fondren and children are visiting in Louisville this week. - Ferril Weeks was in Sherwood Sunday. - Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Hawkins went to Mathiston Saturday. - Auther Oswalt, Will McMinn, Joe and Web McClain were in Mathiston Saturday. Smith McClain of Mathiston visited his parents near Blythe Creek Sunday. - The “Sherwood Debating Club” held its meeting Saturday night.
