A FEW PHEBA FOLKS [By Bee Bee]: Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Franklin returned home last week from an extended visit with children in the Delta. - Mrs. R. P. Sanders is now with her parents, after a delightful visit to Moorhead and other Delta towns. - The Pheba people should consider themselves fortunate in securing Mr. Paul Townsend as principal of the school, Mr. Brisco having resigned on account of ill health. We feel sure that the school work will be carried on most successfully under the management of such a worthy and competent principal. - Mrs. J. P. Valentine is anticipating a visit to Jackson the last of the week. - M. L. Carlisle attended the meeting of the Elks at West Point last Monday night.
J. C. Bridgee is at home from Jackson to spend a few days with his family. - Miss Merle Eddington spent Saturday and Sunday with home folks. - Dr. Richardson and Messrs. Miller, Bennett, King, and Kuykendall attended the Grand Lodge in Columbus on Monday night of last week. - Mrs. J. H. Kuykendall of Maben was visiting her son, W. O. Kuykendall last week.

Major Pinson of Ackerman, was in town on professional business Tuesday. - Mrs. Ruby Atkins of Drew is visiting her mother, Mrs. C. C. Crow this week. - Will Hawkins of Sherwood was among the Tuesday visitors of our progressive little town. - John Atkins of the Lagrange neighborhood was shaking hands with friends in our town Tuesday. - J. M. Shaw of the Mt. Pisgah vicinity was looking after business in our busy little burg Tuesday.
Dan Livingston left Saturday for Macon, Ga., where he goes to take a course in a local business college. - Go to Clegg Bros. for ladies’ dress goods and groceries; also to sell your railroad ties and country produce. - Wyatt Wilson left Wednesday for Memphis, where he intends to take a course in book keeping at one of the commercial colleges.
Why not make our town better? We can do it. - James Hainey, J. T. Oliver and E. O. McClain made a pleasure trip to Eupora on Sunday. - Mrs. C. E. Brock left Monday for Louisville, Ky., where she will purchase her millinery stock for the spring season.
