Clegg made a business trip to Eupora Monday. - Mrs. Connie Brock is able to take up her work again. - Dan Livingston made a pleasure trip to Kilmichael Sunday. - Don’t forget that it is your duty to say good word for Mathiston. - Jack and Fred Haney of Eupora were pleasant guests of Pascal McCain on Sunday. - Little Jimmie Clara McGarrh of Stewart enjoyed Sunday as the guest of Johnnie McCain. - M. H. Fondren and E. O. McClain visited the latter’s parents at Sherwood Monday evening. - Misses Mittie Norris and Dovie Butler of Maben were pleasant guests of Mrs. Fred Bailey on Sunday. - Otis Brannon, editor of the Kilmichael Record, accompanied by his wife, paid a visit to our town Tuesday. - District Attorney Tom Lamb of Eupora passed through our town Monday, en route to Ackerman to attend Circuit Court. - Miss Effie Pyron of Kilmichael and Miss Hettye McCain, who is teaching at Stewart, visited the latter’s parents here Sunday.
Mrs. Bud Mans died at her home in the Hall community in Choctaw County on Monday night, from the effects of pneumonia. The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Griffin of our town. The Press joins friends in extending the greatest of sympathy to the bereaved ones in their hours of great trouble.
SEALY’S STORE IS BURGLARIZED: On Monday night the store of A. H. Sealy & Co. was broken into by robbers and several articles of merchandise but no money rewarded the burglars. No trace of the guilty parties seems to have been left whereby they might be captured and brought to justice. We congratulate the victims upon their loss being no greater.
SHERWOOD SOCIETY: [By Tow Head] Mrs. Commander of Leland is visiting her father, Mr. Milligan this week. - J. B. Crouse was inspecting lumber here Thursday. - Coy Howard, who has been visiting relatives here and at Double Springs returned home Monday. - G. H. McCain left for Ackerman Sunday where he is attending court. - Mr. and Mrs. Ramsey of Houston visited their son near Fellowship this week. - E. P. and S. G. Hawkins of Double Springs visited their brother W. F. Hawkins Sunday. - Charley Hester and Homer Brooks went to Mathiston on Saturday. - The Valentine Drawing was very much enjoyed by the young people Saturday night. - A few of our young people attended the singing at Mt. Pisgah Sunday afternoon. - Ephraim McClain of Mathiston visited his uncle Mr. Brooks Saturday. - Obie McClain visited home folks Monday night.
