Mosley, of Ruff Post Office, was a visitor to Ackerman Tuesday. - Mrs. Bettie Storer and mother, Mrs. Tims of Kosciusko, visited relatives in town this week. - Dr. Alva Snow has located at Ardmore, I. T. [Indian Territory] to practice dentistry. - Hon. Jas. T. McCafferty returned from Millsaps College Tuesday evening. - Rev. W. L. Anderson attended Millsaps commencement, returning Tuesday evening. - Miss Mollie Hunt, of Sturges, is visiting her brother’s family, W. T. Hunt, this week. Miss Beulah Hathorn, of French Camp, visited her cousin, Mrs. Dr. J. D. Weeks last Friday. - Messrs. Clifton Stubblefield and Charlie Carter, of French Camp, were in Ackerman last Friday night. - Miss Cora Allen, of French Camp, and Miss Bessie Cook, of Brookhaven, visited Hon. S. R. Hughston’s family last Friday. - Rev. G. W. Gordon and wife and Miss Mallie Hunt attended Women’s Annual Conference of the Missionary societies in Durant the first of the week. - The trustees of the Ackerman High School met Monday and elected the following faculty for the next term. J. R. Tipton, Principal, Miss Mary McAlister. First Asst. Miss Sallie Riley, Primary department, Miss Sue Keys, music teacher, Miss Ida Cole, assistant for four month’s free term. - Mr. W. T. Webb now walks the earth with elastic step and greets all with a pleasant smile. The reason of it all is he has a fine girl at his house to bless his home.
