With COVID-19 pandemic concerns, many cases in the Winston County April 2020 term were held over or set for a continuances. Several cases were finalized. The cases set for the court term were: • Darrell D. Purifoy was charged with Armed Robbery and sent for a mental evaluation. • Adam Luke Nowell was charged with kidnapping, sexual battery, and forcible rape. For Kidnapping he is sentenced to 15 years. The sexual battery and forcible rape charges were dismissed. • Tiutae Dixon was charged with furnishing contraband in facility. A bench warrant was issued on Dixon. • Precious K. berry was charged with furnishing contraband in facility. The case was continued. • Jasmine R. Nelson was charged with furnishing contraband in facility. The case was continued. • Andres Galvan was charged with first degree murder and kidnapping. The case was continued. • Jimmy Henley was charged with felony shoplifting and a bench warrant was issued. • Bradly L. Ivy was charged with burglary of a dwelling house. The case was continued. • Tyzarious Harrison was charged with aggravated assault and possession of stolen firearm. The case was continued. • Jared Hannah was charged with capital murder. The case was continued. • Joe A. White was charged with trafficking in stolen firearms. The case was continued. • Shelby L. Miller, Sr. was charged with 3 counts of touching a child for lustful purposed, three counts of Sexual battery, and 1 count statutory rape. The case was continued. • Veronica Windham charged with false pretense/ bad check. The case was dismissed. Criminal Appeals Stacy Spiva was charged with false reporting of crime and the case was continued. Alexander Jane Trumpore was charged with speeding. New Cases for Arraignment • James Harrison, Jr. aka ”Junior” was charged with armed robbery, second armed robbery, third armed robbery, possession firearm felon, and anotehr possession firearm felon. For count 1 armed robbery his sentence is 25 YRS, serve 20 YRS, 5 YRS PRS. For count 2 of Armed Robbery his sentence is 25 YRS, serve 20 YRS, 5 YRS PRS-concurrent to CT. 1. For count 3 armed robbery his sentence is 25 YRS, serve 20 YRS, 5 YRS PRS-concurrent to CT1 and CT2. For Possession of firearm, the charges were dismissed. • Joe White was charged with a drive by shooting and shooting into a dwelling house, and the case was continued. • Justin White was charged with a drive by shooting and shooting into a dwelling house, and the case was continued. • Lakelvin Hughes was charged with a drive by shooting and shooting into a dwelling house, and the case was continued. • Rushaka Cobb was charged with aggravated assault, and the case was continued. • Edward Lee Stevens charged with touching a child for lustful purposes and sexual battery, and the case was continued. • Johnathan M. The Winston County Circuit Clerk’s office serves as Clerk of the Circuit Court whihc includes attending court for two, 4 week Terms – 4th week in April and the 4th week in October.
