The escalating public health crisis is responsible for an unprecedented number of school closures, layoffs and economic disruptions across the country, and millions of students who depend on school food programs for their next meal also have parents whose jobs are at risk or have been eliminated due to the pandemic. The Atmos Energy/Robert W. Best Charitable Giving Fund announced $1.5 million in donations to quickly support feeding programs through various nonprofits, helping students and families affected by the coronavirus outbreak by providing access to a steady supply of nutritious meals during these uncertain times.
“It’s an honor to be able to help our communities during this pandemic,” said Bobby Morgan Atmos Energy Vice President of public affairs. “We continue to be grateful to the wonderful work these relief agencies are engaged in and we will find further ways to support Mississippi families and critical workers throughout this crisis.”

$10,000 to Hunger 2 Hope
$10,000 to Community Foundation for Mississippi Disaster Recovery Fund
$7,000 to Mid-South Food Bank
$7,000 to Wesley House Community Center
$3,000 to Anderson United Methodist Church Food Pantry Program
