MAC centers across Mississippi have a program to aid older adults and people with disabilities recovering from COVID-19 transferring from hospital-to-home or nursing home-to-home in finding long-term care services and supports to keep them living well and independently. As COVID-19 patients transition to home, Mississippi Access to Care is available to assist family members and caregivers in the transition with free and confidential services. Assistance is available by calling 844-822-4MAC (4622.) The caller will automatically be connected to the MAC center in their area. MAC centers are located in Greenville, Gulfport, Hattiesburg, Jackson, Newton and Pontotoc. In addition, MAC center services extend to all 82 Mississippi counties. MAC center counselors can help in locating long-term care services and supports, adaptive equipment, assisted living/nursing home care, health and wellness, housing options, in-home personal care, prescription drug coverage, nutrition programs, respite care, transportation and employment programs.
