The Choctaw Baptist Food Ministry is open during the COVID-19 situation on Wednesdays from 8:30-11:30, located in the Broken Wings building in Ackerman.
However, there are new guidelines:
• No food clients are allowed in the office or the food ministry at any time.
• They are operating on a “mobile pantry” system on clients assigned week. Clients are ask to stay in their vehicles, drive up to the office and check in with the volunteer, each person will be given instructions what to do. Any new or anyone renewing will need to bring ID, proof of income, and proof that you live in Choctaw County on Wednesdays from 8:30-11:30.
— Persons are asked to not line up before 8:30 a.m..
— If you are sick, been exposed/in contact or have symptoms, of COVID-19 please stay at home.
— The ministry is allowing family members, neighbors, pastors/church leaders, and community leaders to pickup clients boxes of those who cannot pickup. The ministry assigns current food clients numbers, and can check them off, or look them up if needed.
