The Choctaw County Sherriff’s Deputies were involved in a high speed pursuit early on Thursday, March 19.
A deputy sustained minor injuries as a result of the pursuit . Stacy Fondren, 50, wrecked and abandoned the vehicle he was driving during the pursuit. Officers captured Fondren a couple of hours later and he was taken to the Choctaw County Jail. At the jail, Fondren was charged with felony fleeing and two counts of aggravated assualt on officers. Other charges against Fondren are pending and he is currently awaiting a bond hearing.
Choctaw County deputies were assisted in the pursuit and arrest by Mississippi Highway Patrol K9 Unit, Montgomery County Sheriff’s office and Webster County Sheriff’s office.
