In accordance with direction from the Mississippi Department of Health, the Board of Trustees of the Choctaw County Library System has decided to operate our libraries on a limited scale of services due to the health and well-being of staff and the community, effective Tuesday, March 16, 2020 until further notice.
What does this mean?
Patrons can:
•Access ebooks and audiobooks from their smartphones, tablets, and computers through our Hoopla app or website.
•Access free magazines using the RBDigital app through CCLS. If you are not already familiar with our digital services, please call us for instructions to get started.
•Call the Ackerman Branch and check out books for curbside pickup during normal library hours.
•Return books using the book drops at the Ackerman and Weir locations.
•Call the Ackerman Branch to make an appointment for using public computers. This is for essential purposes only such as applying for jobs, accessing college school assignments, and applying for human services resources.
•Access free wi-fi from the parking lot of the Ackerman and Weir Libraries.
Staff will be onsite inside the Ackerman library during normal business hours and available via phone or email to answer reference questions, give technical support and assist as much as possible. However, the doors will remain closed to walk-in visitors. The Weir Library will be closed during this time.
