Winston County lost two young residents Sunday, April 5.
At about 5:40 p.m. on April 5 the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on MS Hwy 15 near Jimbo Road in Winston County.
A white 2011 GMC Sierra driven by 21-year old Gerardo Galvan Sanchez of Louisville with passenger 18-year old Lexy Ann Deese of Noxapater were North bound on MS Hwy 15.
The vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and then back across to the right side and overturned. Both occupants were unrestrained and were ejected during the rollover.
Ms. Deese was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Winston County coroner.
Mr. Sanchez was pronounced dead at the hospital.
This accident remains under investigation by MHP.
