Eupora band places third
The East Webster Marching Wolverines placed first and the Pride of Eupora band took home third place in the 2022 2A state Marching Band Championship.
The 2A-3A Mississippi High School Activities Association/ Mississippi Band Directors Association State Marching Championships were held Oct. 29, at Germantown High School in Gluckstadt. East Webster High School and Eupora High School performed in Class 2A.
Bands were scored in the categories of General Effect, Music Performance and Visual Performance. East Webster placed first with a total score of 80.95 while Eupora came in third with a total score of 74.025. Other high schools with bands performing in 2A were Stringer (second) and J.Z. George (fourth).
Color Guard and Percussion were scored in separate categories not included in the aforementioned totals. East Webster placed first in Color Guard and second in Percussion; Eupora placed third in Color Guard and fourth in Percussion.
