Services for John William Corley, 81, are at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 26, 2022, at Chester Baptist Church near Ackerman with the Rev. Rob Faulk officiating. Burial will follow at Chester Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday beginning at 1p.m. till service time at the church.
He was born March 30, 1940, in Shaw to the late William and Jewell McCool Corley. Mr. Corley was a retired paint contractor. He died Jan. 22, 2022, at his residence in Mathiston.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Corley; one daughter, Theresa McBride of Durant; two sons, William Eddie Corley of Mathiston and Bobby Earl Corley of Belden; and three grandchildren.

Judy Carol
Irving Melton

Services for Judy Carol Irving Melton, 74, of Weir were Jan. 19, 2022, at Ackerman Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Irvin officiating. Burial was in Enon Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 25, 1947, to the late Davis and Myrtle Irving of Weir. Mrs. Melton was a retired state employee, working with the Mississippi Division of Plant Industry and the Longest Student Heath Center at MSU. She also worked for years in the Weir School District. Mrs. Melton was a member of the Ackerman Baptist Church. She died Jan. 17, 2022, at her home.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel Wayne Melton of Weir; a daughter Lindsey Maxcy of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Joani Webster of Harrah, Okla.; and one grandson.
Memorials may be made to the Ackerman Baptist Church HVAC Fund.

Ronald Dewayne Patterson
Ronald Dewayne Patterson died December 24 at his home in Colorado. He requested to be cremated and his ashes were scattered over the beautiful mountains of Colorado.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy; two daughters, Marci Patterson and Bailey Patterson; two grandsons, Bentley and Briggs; his mother, Rebecca Davis; and his sister, Dianne Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Toni McMullen Starks
Graveside services for Toni McMullen Starks, 52, were held at Weir Chapel cemetery at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 22. Rev. Roy Williams officiated.
Mrs. Starks died January 18.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Akeba Shumaker, Anatasia Davis, and Toshonna McMullen; 1 son, Eddetrick McMullen; 1 step-son, James Randall; 6 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jimmy Rudolph “Pig” Fulwiley
Funeral services for Jimmy Rudolph “Pig” Fulwiley, 72, were held at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Noxapater on Tuesday, January 18. Pastor David Harris, Sr. officiated.
Jimmy died January 8, 2022.
Survivors include his siblings, Willie Fulwiley and Ralph Fulwiles; and a host of nieces and nephews . Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Taylor Walker
Funeral services for Taylor Walker, 92, were held at 2 p.m., January 23 at Beck Funeral Home in Louisville. Minister Charles Moore officiated. Burial followed in the Louisville Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Walker died January 19 at the Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville.
Survivors include 4 daughters, Julius Walker, Leenoris Walker, Dymetria Rochelle Walker, and Marlene Moore; 3 sons, Tirezz Walker, Antwone Walker, and Ashley Walker; 1 brother, Willie Gill; 22 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
