The streaking Choctaw Chargers have been playing their best basketball and they shot lights out in the win over East Webster recently on Jan. 20.
The Chargers took a 76-61 win over East Webster with the Chargers hitting 48% of their shots and making five 3-pointers with a 15-of-18 night at the free throw line. A 42-25 lead at the half got the Chargers out front and EWHS couldn’t quite get back in the ball game the rest of the way.
According to MaxPreps, Cunningham had 20 points, Roberts had 19, Cork had 17, Cole had 13, James had 3 and Hood had 2.
In the 14th annual Mid-Mississippi Challenge in Ackerman this weekend, Choctaw County varsity basketball team lost their home non-conference game against Choctaw Central (Philadelphia, MS) by a score of 91-46.
The Chargers were set to take on Bruce Tuesday night after the newspaper deadline on January 25. They are set to face J.Z George January 28. West Point on February 1 and Eupora Feb. 3.

The Lady Chargers recently traveled to East Webster and dropped the match 57 to 20.
The Lady Chargers returned to action this weekend in the Mid-Mississippi Challenge with West Lowndes taking the win 41 to 34.
