Louisville Police Investigator Mike Perkins reported Angela Nance, 55, was taken into custody on Tuesday, October 18, and charged with Arson of a Religious Building. The arrest was in connection with the October 15, Sunday morning fire which heavily damaged Hope Missions on North Church Avenue in Louisville.
Nance was placed under a $50K bond, and at the time of this report was still in custody.
Perkins stated that authorities used video evidence and a tip from the public in making the arrest. He added that Nance allegedly set fire to a trailer on the north side of the Hope Missions building, and the fire eventually blew out the windows and spread inside the building itself.
