The town of Maben has set the date for its annual Christmas Parade for Saturday, Dec. 3, at 6:30 pm. The parade will take place along historic Second Avenue and be themed “A Very Classic Christmas” featuring the East Webster High School Marching Band state champions.
Organizers encourage our community members to get involved and be a kid again – be in the parade! Groups, clubs, organizations, churches, families, individuals, anyone who wants to come have fun can be in the parade. Decked-out ATVs, horses, wagons, tractors, gingerbread men and even grinches are invited to be in the parade. People with classic cars and trucks are encouraged to come “cruise the parade” too and let the community enjoy their cool rides – after all – it’s a Classic Christmas.
This year, prizes will be awarded to winning entries thanks to these local sponsors: The General Store, Maben Nutrition, Breazy’s Place, Friendly Florist, Faye’s Package Store, Maben Auto Parts, FJH Realty, Bargain Boys and A&A’s Jumpertainment.
Entry forms are requested to be submitted by Dec. 2 and can be obtained at these locations: The Ole City Hall Handmade Gifts, Maben Nutrition and Breazy’s. Forms will also be available at the fire station by contacting Chief Wayne Yeatman at 662-418-9577.
Lineup will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Dec 3 at the fire station. Late entries should be at the fire station no later than 5:30 to complete an entry form.
