On the second Tuesday of each month, the Louisville Municipal School District’s Board of Trustees meets at the central office to conduct business and discuss any pressing issues.
On December 10, the board held its regular meeting at 5:30 PM. The board would move into the consent agenda, which included a few staff changes as well as the approval of a school bus turnaround, the approval of the previous meeting’s minutes, and the approval of various grants. These included an AG grant. The staff for this year’s HERO program was approved as well.
As the board moved through the agenda, Superintendent David Luke gave his routine update.
Luke noted that during the week of December 9, mid-year benchmark testing is ongoing. Some courses at the high school are also closing out due to the block schedule, and testing is ongoing there as well.
He also added that the district was very proud of the football team as they played for the state championship on December 7, 2024. Luke added that all football teams in the district made at least one round of the playoffs, and that they all “represented the district well.”
The next regular meeting of the Louisville Municipal School District will be held on January 14 at the central office located on Columbus Avenue at 5:30 PM.
