Get your motor running! Local motorcycle enthusiasts are looking forward to the Little Sturgis annual rally, taking place from Thursday, August 15 through Saturday, August 17.
To enter the park for the rally, a wrist band is required. This $10 band allow for entry AND re-entry to the park. They may be purchased online with a $1 convenience fee at https.//www.townofsturgis.com. You can also find information about purchasing a 2024 rally t-shirt at that website.
Entertainment for the event include Full Circle Party Band on Thursday night. On Friday, Juke Joint Gypsies and More Cowbell will take the stage at 7:30 and 9:00, respectively.
Saturday night’s entertainment is the Oktoc Outlaws (7:00 PM) and The Garrett Oswalt Band (10:00 PM). Events run throughout the day; however.
The Dinner Ride takes place on Friday, August 16. This ride begins at the Diane Jackson Memorial Park in Sturgis with line-up at 3:00, heading to the Village Cycle Center in Starkville. The ride will then head to Louisville with a stop at the Coliseum before returning to Sturgis via Ackerman. The $10 wristband is required to be a part of the dinner ride, and it also covers admission to all events associated with Little Sturgis.
Riders should note that each bike must be registered in order to participate in the dinner ride; this can be completed online, with a deadline for this method of registration of Wednesday, August 14 at 3:00 PM. Riders may still register in person at the Rally.
This year, the Rally will be supporting The Alzheimer's Association. Interested parties may visit tents for “The Longest Day” along Highway 12 and inside the Park to purchase various items or luminaries for Alzheimer's disease.
Other events this year at the Rally include a Poker Run to benefit The Longest Day (Alzheimer’s), a Bike Show and Sound Competition (requires a $20 entry fee), Bike Games, and a Blessing of the Bikes on Sunday morning, hosted by the Christian Motorcyclists Association.
